hypnosis for kids and teens

Children and teenagers are some of my favorite clients. Together, we tackle many of the same issues as adults, with an integrative approach centered on creativity, fun, and play. Kids and teens see me for test anxiety, bedwetting, hair-pulling and nail-biting, sleep, improving focus, fear release, health issues, and many other things. I work integratively with your child’s medical and mental health team to support their wellbeing.

I love empowering kids to make changes in their own lives, and watching them amaze themselves with their accomplishments.

I also offer whole-family support when appropriate, including sessions just for parents designed to teach you empowering regulation tools you can use to calm yourself and support your child at home. Often, when a child has been struggling, their parents and sometimes siblings find themselves caught in anxious cycles of their own in response. Together, we may plan sessions to support family members in relieving stress as we develop strategies to help everyone thrive.

Please note: I work exclusively online. This is a great fit for many kids 7 and up, as they are naturally entrained to screens, and often more comfortable in their home environment with comfort items, favorite toys, and parents nearby.

“Before we worked with Devon, my son was unable to stay dry at night. At age 11, wearing pull-ups to bed was starting to bother him and we wanted to support him in learning how to stay dry. We had heard that hypnosis might help with this issue (since there were no underlying medical problems), so we found Devon online and scheduled a consult. She was so engaging and supportive that we decided to give it a shot. She instantly connected with my son as a warm, caring companion on this journey. Together, they dreamed up an imaginative scenario that he could use each night to help connect his brain and body to support him in his mantra: "I will wake up dry." It was so beautiful watching them talk, imagine, and play together in this work. Devon provided a recording that he listens to each night before bed and it empowers him to connect his brain and body. The results weren't instantaneous, but slowly, he started experiencing success! After a few months of sticking with it, he just celebrated his first full month of waking up dry! We are so grateful for what a fun and supportive process he went through with Devon to reach this goal. He is so proud of himself! —CW, parent of bedwetting client
